Bologna (Italy) – Since the beginning of 2020 the company SUZZI is VERDE DENTRO (Green inside), meaning it is one of the businesses that uses 100% electricity from certified renewable sources.
SUZZI, despite having an international vocation, has always considered the environment in which it operates a resource to be preserved by trying to improve it.
For this reason, it makes a concrete commitment every day to avoid waste and to minimize its environmental impact.
To make this green approach concrete, the company has invested in a photovoltaic system which, in the last year, has avoided the release into the atmosphere of 125,921.18 kg of carbon dioxide, 19.91 kg of nitrogen monoxide. and 12.84 kg of sulfur dioxide.
To better understand the extent of this result, it is worth considering that, in the last year, the SUZZI company has saved the polluting emissions that a medium displacement car would generate in 27.76 years.
Nontheless, the energy generated by the photovoltaic system was not sufficient to make SUZZI completely green.
For this reason, the company management decided to invest, to take its electricity supply path from renewable sources to the end, turning to REPOWER (one of the first Swiss operators in the production of electricity from certified renewable sources).
However, the photovoltaic system represents only one of the actions to improve the environment, in this case, external one. But, in the same way, the SUZZI management decided to invest to improve the internal environment, installing an air conditioning system, which allows all staff to operate in a very comfortable plant during the hottest periods of the year.
Needless to say, the SUZZI social responsibility towards the community and the local environment in which it operates does not end in these actions, but is part of a sensitivity and continuous commitment, aimed at promoting the reduction of waste, recycling and/or reuse of consumables where and when possible.
